The summer term is racing along and I am hearing that you have liked the “refresh sessions” giving us an opportunity to rework some of our past numbers. This is particularly useful because at the moment the concert season seems to be in full swing! Since March we have had something each month and that will continue pretty much for the rest of the year –please read on. My thanks to all for your continued support, ideas and just good fun times!

Jesus Christ Superstar at Lincoln Cathedral –

Applications are invited for choir members who would be interested in taking part in an event in July 2015 at Lincoln Cathedral.  A 300 strong regional choir is to be recruited to perform this marvellous show which has been granted special performance rights to be staged in Lincoln Cathedral from July 23rd – August 1st 2015 by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber himself. I will be holding an audition session on Sunday 6th July in Langtoft Village Hall from 1.30 – 3.30pm. There will be no charge for this session and you may be asked to sing on your own. If you are interested in this opportunity or would like to learn more then please speak to me at one of the sessions or give me a call.

Our Big Gig

We are delighted to be invited to host the Langtoft OBG on Sunday 13th July following on from our very successful day last year. It will take part in the Playing Field on Manor Close; Langtoft from 1pm to 7pm. The theme of the day is a celebration of music in its various forms, so a wide variety of acts and activities will be brought together along with stalls, food and a bar! We hope you will be able to come along and enjoy the day, sign up for our performance, or if you want to run a stall or help in any way please email as soon as possible!

A Handful of Harmonies CD Recording Experience

For some time we have been looking into the idea of producing a CD. Rachel and Karen (Friends reps from Langtoft and Oundle) have looked into this and we will be running a “CD Recording Experience Day” on Saturday 19th July at Bourne Abbey Church. There is a small charge for this experience of £20 per person which includes a complimentary copy of the finished CD as a souvenir! Please sign up online or see your “Friends Of” rep for more information. Times to be confirmed but likely to be from 10.00 – 6.00pm.

To cover your singing fix over the summer break the following workshops are now online to book:

11th August at Langtoft “A Tribute to the Beatles II”; 14th August at Bourne “Bring a Bloke IV”; 20th August at Northborough “Disney Inspired”  and 22nd August at Langtoft “Miss Saigon”.

Full details are on the website, book online or simply turn up on the night. You don’t have to be a member to join so please tell your friends.
