Friends of the Harmonies

Welcome to the Friends of A Handful of Harmonies

We are delighted that you have come to find out more – the group was established to coordinate fundraising, prompted by our first invitation to perform in London in October 2012.

In our first five years, we have raised in excess of £24,000 which has been used to provide transport, backing tracks and costume; various pieces of equipment to support sessions and performances.

The Friends group mission is simple:

  1. to raise funds to support choir members to learn to sing
  2. to provide opportunities to perform together in the choir
  3. to co-ordinate social & fundraising events

The group is run by a committee which comprises a chair, treasurer and secretary plus a representative from each location. We meet regularly to look at ways to raise funds and consider any funding requests.

There is a board on display at each session showing up to date information including how money has been spent as well as contact details of the committee members. We welcome suggestions from any AHoH members who have ideas for raising funds and you can speak with your rep or fill in a form – the links are further down on this page.

We also welcome the chance to work with AHoH members who would like to organise fundraisers. Your reps are out there ready and waiting to hear from you! They can be contacted in person or by email. You can find the notes of all our committee meetings and solutions to the quizzes that we run each term, via the links on the right-hand side.
